Born and raised in Lake Macquarie, Mel is the heart behind Grounded Finance. With over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry – including the last five years as a mortgage broker – Mel is passionate about helping people navigate the lending process with confidence and clarity.

Mel believes finance shouldn’t feel overwhelming. Her goal is to simplify the process, provide honest guidance, and ensure her clients feel supported every step of the way, whether they’re buying their first home, refinancing, or building their property portfolio.

A proud Lake Macquarie local, Mel loves being part of the community she works in. When she’s not helping clients secure their homes or restructure their finances for a better future, you’ll likely find her on the hunt for the best local coffee (she’s a self-confessed coffee connoisseur), enjoying a glass of wine by the fire with family and friends, or keeping active to keep up with her two busy kids and their endless extracurricular activities.

Mel and her husband also love packing up the caravan for family adventures with their two children and their dog, exploring new places and making memories together.
